Cooper Calvetti's Art Exhibit Reception "Discombobulated Arrangements"
Cooper Calvetti's exhibit, "Discombobulated Arrangements" shows the depth that the artist achieves on a flat canvas. Each painting and mixed media piece creates a separate, unique world inside the picture plane. Forms are layered on top of each other, revealing (and concealing, simultaneously) images that reference, nature, technology and the experience of listening to the rhythm of life and culture. Calvetti, a graduate of West Salem, often paints live during concerts or music festivals, creating images that respond to the music, while revealing the exhilaration that music provides for the people. We hope that you will enjoy this new and exciting look at what painting, and abstraction can be!
