Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treat

Norskedalen's Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treat is a place where local businesses have been invited to gather and provide a safe place for the littlest trick-or-treaters to enjoy a traditional holiday in a safe place! No spooks, ghosts or ghouls allowed on this evening! A short walk through a jack-o-lantern lit trail, and then you'll be in the Homestead (tented area if it rains!) enjoying the chance to trick-or-treat with family and friends, with dinner available in the shelter. In 2025, Norskedalen will offer the TEAL Pumpkin Project for children with food allergies. Founded by FARE, the TEAL Pumpkin Project offers non-food item choices for children whose immune systems overreact to what should be harmless food proteins, causing reactions that can be life-threatening. Food allergies affect a tremendous amount of children; we are delighted to be able to offer a safe trick-or-treating environment for all! Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treat tickets sell out quickly; we ask that you purchase a TEAL Pumpkin ticket ONLY if your child has severe food allergies. Norskedalen will welcome nearly 20,000 guests in 2025, educating each visitor on the importance of the heritage and natural resources of this area. Uniquely situated to share both the culture and the environment of our area, Norskedalen is one of few non-profit organizations in the country to provide education for all ages on how humans and the environment have affected each other for generations. Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treat raises funds for Norskedalen. Since Norskedalen receives no state or federal funding, we depend on events like Ghoulees in the Coulees: Family-Friendly Trick-or-Treat to bring guests like you to our grounds as well as provide vital funding for everything at Norskedalen.
